If you live in or near any of the following cities and are available on the cooresponding dates, you are eligible to be considered!
Sat March 1st - Santiago, Chile - Pista Atletica
Mon March 3rd - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Luna Park Stadium
Tues March 4th - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Luna Park Stadium
Fri March 7th - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Citibank Hall
Sat March 8th - Sao Paulo, Brazil – Estacionamento do Credicard HallSun March 9th - Belo Horizonte, Brazil – Chevrolet HallWed March 12th - Bogota, Colombia - El Coliseo
Fri March 14th - Caracas, Venezuela - El Poliedro
A different band will be chosen for each city.
(for example, Buenos Aires will have a different opening act for each night)
If you are interested, please follow these instructions:
---- Submit a website or myspace link which contains functioning streaming music and band info
---- In the subject line of the email, put the name of the city you are submitting your entry for (ONLY ONE CITY PER BAND CAN BE SUBMITTED!!!!!)
---- In the body of the email (in addition to the required website or myspace link), ONLY include the name of the band and a contact name, email address and phone number
---- DO NOT EMAIL ANY ATTACHMENTS OR DOWNLOADABLE FILES!!!
---- DO NOT EMAIL personal letters, bios, info or notes for Dream Theater!!!
---- ONLY ONE EMAIL FROM EACH BAND WILL BE ACCEPTED, SO DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE EMAILS!
---- Email the info to: DTSAOpeningAct@aol.com
****Failure to follow any of these instructions will result in the email being deleted and elimination from the contest.****
We will only accept the first 20 entries from each city, so time is of the essence!!!
The chosen winners for each city must agree that by winning this contest:
---- They will be given 30 minutes of stage time before Dream Theater's set
---- A full soundcheck is NOT guaranteed (but DT will do everything in their abilities to provide it)
---- They will be responsible for their own expenses incurred in playing the show
---- They will be responsible for bringing their own crew (details will be sorted out in advance with Dream Theater's crew)
